"App"ification of Facebook

With due respect to all my friends with whom I love to keep in touch, of late there's just too much of clutter in the automatic "app" updates I see on my news feed.

I want to know if someone has visited Australia and posts pictures, but not from some app that keeps posting apps on their behalf. Same is the case with horoscope, health, cocktail tips.. and the list just goes on.

A humble request to all my friends. Please turn off all app notifications so that your friends can see only meaningful posts from you.

There are tons of articles on the net on how to do this and I have listed a few below.
Use these to either block out unwanted app updates on your news feed and/or block apps from posting on your behalf.
